National Film Awards 2023 highlights: Neetu Kapoor is ‘very very proud’ of daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt, shares post

Alia Bhatt also shared a post on Instagram featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Allu Arjun, and Kriti Sanon. In one of the photos, Ranbir clicked a selfie as he posed with a smiling Alia. In another picture, he also held Alia as they walked together. She wrote, “A photo, a moment, a memory for life (white heart emoji).”

Actor Kriti Sanon has shared pictures with her parents after winning the National Award on Tuesday. Taking to Instagram, she also wrote, “The feeling is not easy to describe in words… Today will be one of the most memorable days of my life! #NationalAward #BestActress #Mimi.”

Alia Bhatt penned a brief note on her Instagram Stories. She posted a photo of herself and wrote, “A special day calls for a special outfit. And sometimes…that outfit is already right there (red heart emoji). What’s special once can be special again. And again… (Smiley emoji). #rewear #reuse #repeat (heart hand emojis).”

Neetu Kapoor, taking to her Instagram Stories, shared a video of Alia. She wrote, “Proud very very proud @aliaabhatt God bless (nazar amulet and folded hands emojis).”

Allu Arjun’s father Allu Arvind said that he is very fortunate to see his son being honoured at the National Film Awards. The star was honoured with the Best Actor Award at the 69th National Film Awards here on Tuesday for his performance in Pushpa: The Rise. “It is very exciting. I am very fortunate to be here and see my son getting this award,” Allu Arvind told ANI.

Karan Johar penned a note and shared a video on Instagram after receiving the National Award for Shershaah. A part of his caption read, “A momentous day for us all. Firstly, my biggest admiration for @apoorva1972, always the strongest pillar of strength in any situation. Thank you @sidmalhotra, who brought this special story to us at @dharmamovies. And continued to play the role of Captain Vikram Batra like no one could! You are the heart of the film… @kiaraaliaadvani, truly one of the most special artists we have in the industry today…you brought in the pain, the pathos and the pride with Dimple’s character.”

After receiving the Best Actress Award for her film Gangubai Kathiawadi at the 69th National Film Awards, Alia Bhatt said, “I feel thrilled, grateful and honoured.” As she exited, the paparazzi asked her the question. She was accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor.

Vivek Agnihotri took to X and wrote that the Nargis Dutt Award for a Film on National Integration conferred upon his directorial The Kashmir Files is “a tribute to all victims of religious terrorism.”

Upon receiving the Best Actress award for her film on surrogacy, Mimi, Kriti Sanon told the media at the ceremony that she feels blessed and grateful as her parents were there cheering for her. “I don’t think I’ve felt this before,” Kriti said.

Waheeeda Rehman, Pallavi Joshi, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon, posed together for a picture at the event. All of them smiled as they looked at the camera. While Waheeda, Alia and Kriti opted for pastel colours, Pallavi was seen in a black saree.

As Alia Bhatt received her first National Award, her mother-actor Soni Razdan shared a post on Instagram. She posted a clip of Alia and also penned a note. Soni wrote, “Congratulations my darling @aliaabhatt on your National Award … and it’s all due to your hard work and dedication to your craft. Such a proud moment for us all truly. Gratitude and love.”

Waheeda Rehman got emotional as the announcement of her as the recepient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award was made. R Madhavan came to soothe her.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect producer and actor R Madhavan received the National award as the audience cheered for him.

RRR won 6 National Film Awards at the event.

Allu Arjun won the Best Actor award for Pushpa: The Rule. Sneha Reddy clicked his picture from among the audience.

Like Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt also received the Best Actress award for her film Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Kriti Sanon, who played a surrogate mother in Mimi, won the Best Actress award.

Pankaj Tripathi won Best Supporting Actor award for Mimi.

Sardar Udham won quite a few awards at the event including Best audiography, production design and more.

Karan Johar receives National Film Award for Shershaah. Vishnu Vardhan also received an award for the film.

Prem Rakshith won the award for Best Cinematography and MM Keeravaani won Best Music Direction (Background Music) for RRR.

Sardar Udham, starring Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, won the Best Feature Film.

Chello Show took home the Best Gujarati film and Best Child Artist for Bhavin Rabari.

777 Charlie also wins big.

Malayalam film Home wins multiple awards at the ceremony.

Anurag Thakur praised Waheeda Rahman and talked about government’s contribution in preventing piracy.

Ek Duaa wins a Special Mention at the National Film Awards.

“Aakhirkar main yaha pahuch pai, uske liye main badi shukraguzar hu (Finally I reached her, I am very grateful for this),” she said.

The ceremony has finally started with the arrival of President Droupadi Murmu.

Bhavin Rabri, who has won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for Chhello Show, attended the ceremony with director Pan Nalin.

Kriti Sanon walked the red carpet with her parents.

Kriti Sanon said winning the National Award within a decade of her debut is a very big thing for her. “I feel elated,” she said.

Karan Johar talked about completing 25 years of his directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as he walked the red carpet. The film had won the National Award then. “25 years later, I am back here for the National Award. What more can I ask for,” he said.

Kriti Sanon walked the red carpet in a white saree. She has won the Best Actor award for her film Mimi.

The Kashmir Files actor Pallavi Joshi and director Vivek Agnihotri walked the red carpet together at the National Film Awards.

“I am a filmmmaker who makes films for the audience. That’s my first aim. Awards are like a bonus for me. But when it comes to awards at the National level, with 6 awards, I obviously feel very happy about it,” said SS Rajamouli on the red carpet.

Talking on the red carpet, Alia Bhatt said about her first National Film Award win, “My eyes are full of stars right now.”

Allu Arjun on his big win, “I am extremely happy as I am receiving this award. Its a double achievement for me personally.”

Talking about his journey, Karan Johar said on the red carpet, “Our film Shershaah released in 2021, it is the biopic of Captain Vikram Batra. We are forever grateful to the family to tell the story to the entire world. We are humbled, honoured and privileged to be here today.

As Allu Arjun is the first Telugu actor to receive the Best Actor award at the National Film Awards for Pushpa: The Rise, the title of his upcoming film Pushpa 2: The Rule, started trending on X ahead of the ceremony.

Allu Arjun shared a picture of his invite as he headed to Vigyan Bhavan for the National Film Awards.
